Programs
LCYC has worked to provide a variety of youth programs in LaGrange County. Through donations and grants LCYC has been able to offer all of these youth services free to participants. Our youth programs provide our county youth with safe structured activities to promote social, educational, and character development. Through these programs we hope to inspire youth to make positive life choices and develop a sense of community involvement.
Taste of LaGrange County
We gather for a one-night food festival, along with live entertainment and a great auction! All proceeds go towards youth programs in LaGrange County.
What We Do
LCYC believes in providing a safe environment for the youth to spark their imagination, engage with peers and exposing them to positive options. We offer after school programs, summer art and drama camps, internships for high school seniors and act as a liaison and entry port for the out-of-school suspension program for the three LaGrange County school districts. Through these programs we see positive changes in our youth that will help them with character development, leadership, confidence and self-esteem.
Our programs are funded through grants, private donations and funds LCYC receives through a trust. With such support, we can provide the youth with snacks, craft projects, guest speakers (bank representatives, police officers, Purdue Extension, school officials, other non-profit organizations, health care providers, and many more), and community involvement, to name a few.
